What To Do

If you are visiting a close relative in Cuba who is a Cuban national or if you share a common dwelling as a family with a licensed traveler and accompanying him/her on a family visit, you can travel to Cuba.  Every passenger must have a valid US passport – or US Resident Card – and a valid Cuban Visa or Passport.  Here are the requisites needed to complete the Cuban Consular Application Form.
I was born in Cuba and left permanently BEFORE December 31, 1970
To travel under this category you need to:

    1. Have a valid US passport or a permanent Resident Card
    2. Request a Cuban HE-11 Visa
    3. Cuban Consular Application Form
    4. Marazul Travel Application Form

I was born in Cuba and left permanently AFTER December 31, 1970
To travel under this category you need to:

    1. Have a valid US passport or Resident Card
    2. Have a valid Cuban passport or request a new one if expired
    3. Cuban Consular Application Form
    4. Marazul Travel Application Form

I was NOT born in Cuba
To travel under this category you need to:

    1. Have a valid US passport or Resident Card
    2. Request a Cuban Entry Visa
    3. Download Cuban Consular Application Form
    4. Download Marazul Travel Application Form

To obtain a Cuban HE-11 Visa (*)

  • Fill the Cuban Consular application form (mark “HE-11”)
  • Photocopy of your valid US passport
  • One passport photo 2”x2”
  • Photocopy of any document proving that you were living in the US before December 1970 (e.g. your original Cuban passport, school records, pediatrician’s bills, medical certificate, etc.) all prior to 1970.
  • Money Order to Marazul Charters, Inc. (contactus for pricing)

To obtain a new Cuban Passport (**)

  • Fill the Cuban Consular Application form (mark “Passport”)
  • Send your expired Cuban passport
  • If this is the first time that you are requesting a passport, you must send us an original copy (with seals) of your birth certificate.
  • Two Passport photos 2”x2”
  • Money Order to Marazul Charters, Inc. (contactus for pricing)

To obtain an extension for your Cuban Passport
Cuban passport is valid for 6 years during which it must be extended twice. After the first 2 years, you need to request either a 2 year or a 4 year extension to complete the passport’s 6 year term.

  • Fill the Cuban Consular Application Form (mark “Prórroga”)
  • Send your expired Cuban passport
  • Two Passport photos 2”x2”
